Diamond Grip gloves are pretty good. I even reuse them sometimes, that's how durable they have been to me. I got sick of constantly washing my Mechanix gloves.

loved that shit! My auto class back in highschool used to have cherry bomb and I used extravagant amounts of it every time I washed my hands

Regular bar soap but I do indeed wear nitrile gloves so they don't get all that fucked up grimy anyway.

Not a pro mechanic, but when I work on my own car, I can't stand to use gloves.

I always seem to be ripping the nitrile gloves or my hands are sweaty inside the gloves, etc.

I make sure my nails are recently trimmed, then dig them into a bar of soap before I go into the garage.

Probably okay if you don't do it day in and day out but the shit cars bleed all over you is toxic as hell for the most part, and you really don't want it soaking into you.

I started wearing latex surgical gloves way back in the early 80's and all my peers thought I was fucking nuts... It's required safety equipment in many shops now.

I hate having sweaty hands in the gloves too. I end up taking the gloves when Im working on the car but since I dont always work on my car I tend to skip wearing them.

Although i'm a little embarrassed to admit it, Snap-on Nitro Gold with fibril is the shit.

I work in really old cars that tend be beyond nasty. I use a combination of the snap-on stuff and dawn dish soap. For paint, Cupran Special. Not gental but it works.

This stuff is the winner. Easy on the skin even after continous use.
