No more Honda Accord (not a r3v)

I just sold the one car that I remember always being there. Out of the 5 (now 4) cars I have at my house, this is the only one for which I don't remember the day we bought it. I remember being two years old sitting in a car seat in the middle of the back seat, I'd always make my parents play my favorite peter pan cassette. I remember when it was rear ended and in our garage in Delaware, all smashed up. I remember it was the first car I ever practiced detailing on.

Unfortunately, it started to look bad. Years of sitting outside with no wax took its toll on the paint, but the interior was still pristine. 16 years of grime were in the engine bay, but it didn't leak a drop. It was my dad's daily driver, driven almost every damn day, taking rain, snow, salt, and still never rusting one bit. 188,691 miles later, its now gone.

The guy who bought it is good friends with my neighbor (my neighbor basically bought it for him), so I'll get to see it around. I may stop by when they change some fluids this weekend.

TLDR: I sold the car i've been with forever today.

CSB...I know. Just thought i'd share.

If lucky, the E36 will die peacefully, in its natural habitat, and be given the prestigious honor of donating its parts to an E30

I kinda know how everyone feels when they crash or sell their cars. It was just a shitty, auto, ugly, beat up honda accord. It had been in multiple accidents. The paint looked like crap. But it had always been there, had never once been on a tow truck. It drove straighter than anything, and wouldn't pull an inch even at 90. I kinda learned to appreciate every little ding that made it unique. I was embarrassed to be seen in it, yet I now know that I saw something in it that no one else ever will. It had a faded-to-shit U of M sticker on the rear window that I didn't remove, and sort of hinted to the new owner that it would mean a lot if he kept it on. I know my dad's gonna miss it too. He probably put on 175-180k of the 188k that were on the clock. Hopefully the new owner will have me do some polishing on it so I can get to see the car again.

I used to have a 5th gen Accord. Those engines are bulletproof as well. Not many cars can stand up to over 200k and turbo/DD. I miss that car.
