trees/bushes/plants are the best form of making your property more private. They will get more full and think in time and look better and more natural than a fence. More importantly, you have a restriction on how high you can build a fence, while you can plant a tree as tall as you want or have it grow as tell as you want.

Just another reason that i'm looking for a home with huge sideyards and huge back yard.

Doesn't really matter pisses me off for a few hours and later i have a beer and say fuck it.

I plan to add on to the house this summer as I am going to knock down my existing 24x26 and build a bigger garage attached to the house to decrease the wasted footprint and to gain some yard back.

This would effectively place a wall between us down the property line so I am not going to do any rash crap as I have to ask him to sign my variance.

My Mom and Stepdad have a similar neighbour, winds have brought trees from his yard down wrecking their fence twice in 2 years.

his response is pretty much; "so what?" but he is a complete douche nozzle.

they are looking to move this year though, so they aren't rocking the boat much
