I enjoy my job. I've only been there for about 8 months, but I'm learning a lot and developing my abilities and skills.
I do research on inertial confinement fusion. I work on what they call target fabrication. It's kind of cool doing stuff that's never been done before and I like the creative elements involved in doing research.
The other day I did a motor swap at work...on a mini lathe. I put a programmable motor in it. I don't know if people have seen it before, but you can program it to make music. Since the motor humms at different frequencies at different speeds, you can make it play songs. I got it to play ode to joy. It was by far the most entertaining and useless things i've done.Comment
