Wife has me moving to Dallas. Need to know the in and outs of Dallas esp where to live. First time every really moving on the other side of the Mason Dixie line. How is the job market out there?

Sorry, can't help you with info about Dallas, but I think that Dallas is still south of the Mason Dixon line:

Possibly you mean west of the Mississippi? I am not a native of Texas. Texas is different. I know some folks who enjoyed living in Dallas, though. Good luck with your move.sigpic -

Highland park, plano, frisco, allen, mckinney, carrolton, addison etc, all nice suburbs north of Dallas and anywhere in the listed suburbs will be nice. In Dallas itself...well, just stay out of south Dallas. Oh and job market is good as long as you have school or experience.

If you're aiming closer Ft Worth, places like Grapevine, Southlake, Keller, Colleyville, Flower Mound, Coppell, Westlake, & Roanoke is very nice. Parts of Arlington are ok, but there is a lot of traffic there. North Dallas is good as well.
Oak Cliff, S Dallas, parts of Mesquite, Seagoville, parts of Garland, & Grand Prairie are places you want to avoid.
