long story short i am fucked because i need two M6-1.0X40mm bolts for the water pump on my E21. is there anywhere where i can get some at this time of night? or is there anywhere simple i could pull two from my e30. i need HELP. -__-

I hate when this shit happens. Especially when it happens on a Saturday night when shops open later on Sundays, or the night before a holiday.. if I had bolt with such specs I'd help out, but sadly I do not. Sorry man and good luck

just kidding lol. a few 40mm and a few 90mm.

i had my friend helping me for the dissasembly/ RTV part, snapped one bolt so i bought a replacement for it but he put one from another fitting in the one that had snapped.... so then i thought i needed one bolt that was longer and we had nothing but the one i had bought as replacement, couldn't get anything to work and then i found there was another bolt not in! so then two bolts missing and my friend left, i looked everywhere didn't find anything...Originally posted by cmybimmer View Post

Bummer. Were they still too short? Zellers hardware down town. Oh yeah, buy the new ones in stainless, and use a little anti-seize.

got all the correct hardware and still no fucking luck....
pretty mad right now. no idea but the bolts will catch thread for a few turns and create increasing tension on the bolt as it turns, but then all the sudden a few turns later there is no tension.
could the gasket or RTV be interfering? im pretty bummed and pissed off.
edit: lesson learned: don't let your friends wrench on your car...... even if they have fully rebuilt there own -__-
