Woke up to this...worth the click.

So I woke up to screams and a boom this morning...turns out my good friend and SCCA buddy's house went up in flames 20' from my house.

His family is in FL and he was on his way to work, the animals were also saved. House is covered so I believe they are alright. But this is not a way to start the morning.

Firefighters got there in time to drench the propane tanks, that would have taken out the neighbor up the road and the top of our house. Thank the Lord that did not happen...

Fireman think maybe the oil fuel tanks in the finished basement. Took down three complete levels. Investigation will be conducted of course.

Damn. Glad everyone is okay. My buddy told me of a fire on his block when he was a kid, 4 houses went up(fairly close to each other) his house was next but the firefighters got it under control in time. The heat was so intense the tires of his family's cars/the cars on the street melted to the road. I'm glad your house was far enough away/the fire was put under control before it got outta hand. Hopefully your neighbor has good insurance coverage/good friends, family and neighbors to help get his life back in order.

My neighbor above him has a empty house due to kids moving out. Guess he is staying there, red cross is getting his meds filled. He is in great hands between our neighborhood.

Thanks for making a laughing matter out of my buddy losing everything he owns. He does not even have a pair of jeans to change into.

Here is his Mustang GT with headers, full Borla exhaust, Shelby rearend, Shelby wheels and Koni adjustable inserts and lowering spings by H&R. This is what he races with in SCCA.

Fire Fighters had to bust out the passenger window and roll it backwards. He was not home when this started(10mins away). Keys went up in the fire to make matters worse.

I have no idea how he feels, I cannot wrap my head around losing EVERY SINGLE thing that you hold dear. Let alone the place that you call your castle.
