Pick up fumari coals if you haven't too! Their orange cream is super good gets some pretty voluminous clouds. You do have to be in the mood for that though. Do you guys have any preferred mixes?
Any hookah smokers?

Whatttup guys, hows the hooks going with everyone?
Just went to a hookah bar this weekend for a friends bday, and all I have to say is WOW, this place was SHITTY. The Fumari White Gummi Bear tasted like soap, the white peach was not good, guava sucked, and chocolate strawberry was okay. It was $20 for ONE hookah max of three people. One thing I REALLY hated about this place was the fact they used instalight coals. For $20 I better be getting some natural coals on that bowl. Also, there was TONS of condensation in the hoses, everytime I took a drag I would get water on my lips. ridiculous. Anyways, end rant. lol.
Has anyone used both an Alien phunnel and a Tangiers phunnel? What is the difference? Which is better? Also, anyone here use the mystik ice tips on the regular? I used it once at a hookah bar and loved it, but is it worth the money?
Also, anyone here do smoke tricks? I think I am going to start making videos or something because it is all I really do. Some guy on instagram can do 5' + high tornados, it is insane.Comment

Hmm, I've had all those flavors with the majority of my friends and they've never tasted bad. I have no experience with an alien bowl but have and still do with a tangiers phunnel. I've packed starbuzz, tangiers, fumari and nakhla in it and it worked well on all of them. Eric's phunnel's thick and high quality ceramic stem manages the heat more evenly through the entire bowl for longer and tastier sessions.Whatttup guys, hows the hooks going with everyone?

The hookah lounge I like to go to, thats blocks away from Fumari's own lounge, uses instalights and you can taste it. I worked in another one in downtown and a couple of things. Instalights make the flavor taste ashy and the stems and especially the hoses have ghost'd so many flavors that it's hard to taste what you originally ordered.

I see many people with Alien bowl, which is why I wondered, but I have had tons of luck with my tangiers bowl. I love it. Out of all those shisha's that you have packed in it, which have you gotten the best flavor, longetivity, and clouds from? I have never had a tangiers shisha that blows my mind away with taste, but the head change and clouds are superb. I want to try Fumari to get some better taste because with tangiers I am getting hookah'd out more often as it is just mehh with taste.
As for instalights, I never use them anymore. I hate them and they are nasty. No hookah bar should ever use them.Comment

I have the same feeling about Tangiers with great clouds for hours but a bit blander in taste for some of their flavors.
My favorite brand at the moment is fumari. I've had the same cloud thickness and longevity with properly packing fumari in the phunnel bowl and with more taste. Became a fan after I smoked their orange cream without feeling nauseous or hating the flavor like I did with al fakhers or al waha's.
Recently we blended fumari/tangier that was +4 hour long bowl with amazing flavor and consistency.

I am about to go pickup fumari tonight I think.
What is your packing/heat management method? I usually pack everything loosely which gives me the best clouds. I also use three coconuts and rotate them. I poke quite a lot of holes.
What size tangier bowl are you using? Longest I've ever gotten was 2 hours. I think i have a small, not the smallest micro one or whatever. The size up from the super small one.

I believe I have the medium size phunnel (so about 25-35g's a sesh). I don't fluff the fumari in there neither do I pack it tight like tangiers. Just enough density so the holes keep their ordely shape from the foil to the bottom of the bowl. In my experience packing fumari like tangiers in a phunnel makes the bowl swim in juice and burns faster, harsher with shittier clouds. Fluffing it like starbuzz, and other tobaccos, just makes it seem like the heat isn't getting to enough of the shisha.
I never liked cocoanaras because they burn way too hot imo, and I always can taste them in the smoke :( Usually use 3 fumari jap coals with the beginning of the sesh having one of them leaning on another that's laying flat around the edges until the smoke starts thinning. After +30 minutes use I just cheaply wrap the bowl in foil that stands straight around the sides to trap the heat and then just use two coals on rotate for the rest of the way. Can usually go about 2.5-3+ hours without burning the shisha. (a reason why I like fumari coals vs. cocoanaras high heat burning coals)

Didn't end up getting the fumari tonight. Probably another night. I used some double apple Nahkla or w.e that name is. I poked less holes snd the flavor seemed a lot richer, and I got about 45 min off one bowl. This isn't anywhere close to 25g of shisha though.
Are the jap coals those ones with that silver lining stuff?
Also, are you saying you wrap the bowl twice?
