Yup, seats have power all the time...as long as there's a battery in the car.

Does your dad have a jumper box?

You can also unplug them under the seat and use any 12v source. It doesn't need to last very long. You could probably use two of the big 6v flashlight batteries and wire them in series.

I have used a cordless drill battery as a 12v power source to check if various things work, won't last long but certainly should be enough to move the seats. Use jumpers w/ alligator clips and touch to the contacts on top of the battery.

If you use a small 12v source at the battery cables much of the power is going to dissapear before it get to the seats...resistance is not your friend.

That's why I was suggesting powering them at the seat.

I think I'm just gonna go back and use my car battery. Hopefully it doesn't kill it :p

Especially if there's a dead short in there somewhere now. With the car being in a pick-n-pull and few people caring about how they take out electrical stuff. The possibility of one being there is quite high.

Replying is useless in this thread. Fucktard Spency is never going get them out. I'm almost amazed he was able to find his way out of the junkyard in the first place. ;)

Just to clarify I was suggesting you use the drill bat at the seats. Look up the wiring colors b4 you head out, this should be a 5 min job.
