It as of a few days ago, still true... Max prison sentence for his crimes is 21 years with no death penalty!

So, uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, once he realized he was driving down a street with crowded people, his decision was to keep going?

No wonder the dumbass was always getting harassed.

Uhh, it doesn't work like that. The maximum sentence that can be handed down is 21 years, but if at the end of the sentence, the offender is deemed not to have been rehabilitated or is deemed to still be a risk, then they are able to remain in detention.

And besides, that's a completely different angle that doesn't have anything to do with the original post - how sad it is, that when somebody points out something about you or your country that they dislike, rather than looking at it coming up with your own conclusion, you resort to throwing mud in any way you possibly can. Are you a politician?

Foreigner drives the wrong way down a one way street into a crowd of people and continues driving and runs over someones foot and scraped another person. Now hes paying for his mistake. I honestly see no problem with the U.S. justice system in this situation. We're probably not hearing the whole story either so it's hard to judge.

Anything other than an execution is very light sentence for this guy... The point was the punishment does not fit the crime. Extremes on both sides really!

With the "deemed rehabilitated" we will have to see, but Norway is not known for hard punishments and will likely release this guy after his term.

As to pointing fingers, "He in glass houses....."

You know, in a lot of civilized countries capital punishment is a pretty controversial thing, kind of like abortion is in the States.

The crowd appeared after he had stopped and tried to turn, and he ran over someones foot when he tried to get away from the crowd that gave him a broken nose when he was sitting in the car.

Whats worst, to brake someones nose for not beeing known in town -
or to try to get away if that happends to you..

Ive red all that was said in court, from both the defended - witnesses - judges.. and not a single word was said about him doing anything wrong exept for driving against a one way street.
The defended asked to get the cuffs off in court so he would be able to write/take notes but he was regarded to dangerous and the judge said no to that..
Id like to se this guy attacking someone with a pencil..

So, you are comparing driving against a one way street on waccation in a town you dont know and killing loads of people?

abb will newer see daylight again, and i my opinion thats way worse than getting a needle and thats it..
