If someone had an agrue earlyer in his life it should not mean he is guilty for ewerything thorown at him for rest of time.

You would think that some level of common sense should have popped into his head before trying to drive through a packed street festival.

Would the sentence be overkill? Maybe. But he did end up hurting people as a direct result of his negligent driving.

Im surprised that we dont see more incidents like this with all of the roads and all of the different nationalities that we have here in major US cities.
The guy was obviously confused, disoriented, and panicked. Its hard to say what is right and wrong when you consider that a town of hillbillies had torches and pitchforks right outside his car door. I cannot say with all certainty that I would not have tried to get the fuck out of there when being pummeled by the local resident BIG Hick. If I am getting beat then all bets are off and I would go into fight or flight mode. That is a predictable reaction given the circumstances and obviously he went for the flight mode.

He hurt people? Really? A big toe injury and some scratches. PLeeeeeeeezeeee!

If I was in a similar situation and flight mode took over it would be Carmageddon cause I figure if I am going to be put away anyway well why not just make it worthwhile... (Note: I disavow this previous statement as a complete attempt at humor and I am joking on an internet forum so that if in the future any event happens similar to what I have mentioned it was not something that was premeditated)

His biggest disadvantage is that he does not have a pocket full of benjamins to hire a lawyer that would get the charges reduced to dismissed. With enough cash one can just about murder someone in premeditated cold blood in this society and buy their way out of it. Dont be fooled into thinking otherwise.

So, if you came on waccation to where i live in a small city and all street signs are in norwegian and you did an mistake.
Drove against a one way street or something that insane dangerous,
is it OK for me to come over and brake your face?

The crowd's reaction was not exactly an amicable one, for sure, But after all the shit started going down EVERYTHING boils down do a few things:

He was driving through a very crowded area
He ran over someone's foot
Every witness at the scene says that foreign dude was at fault and could have killed everyone in his panicking and confusion (which is totally true)

It sucks that things started out like that but it's all about how the situation ends up...kind of like in grade school when some jerk trips/knocks you down and you get up and punch the kid who did it...Teacher only sees that you are a wild n crazy kid getting up off the ground and punching other students...No one cares to hear "But he started it..."
