Thats how it use to be... you had to own land to vote because you had a vested interest in the land it was assumed you would educate yourself about the laws and people being voted on.

And minimum wage is a joke... the more minimum wage goes up, the more the cost of living goes up, and then the minimum wage folk are right back where they started. As I have said before... I know what being poor tastes like... it sucks, thats why I put on my boots and worked my ass off to where I am today. Took me just shy of 10 years, but I did it. My brother is still jobless with little education and he is only a year yonger than me. Same opportunites, different determination. I wouldn't ask anyone here to pay for the lifestyle my brother chose for himself, or anyone else who lives below the poverty line.
