Of which I mean, half the highways I take are a 55mph and you should be safe doing 10 over.
A series of stupid events just happened to my mom, and among reading the back of her ticket I realized they changed some of the 'over the limit' fees...
A year or so ago, whenever I got my last speeding ticket (lets keep it this way) It used to be 1-14mph was 2 points and a fee.. Seems that the summons my mother was issued reads a bit different. 1-9mph, and 10-14 are the over the limit, so basically what used to be a safehouse of going atleast 14 over, is now not so.
I dont know if you guys get what I am saying, but I find it pretty rediculous and a pretty evident example of taking peoples money as opposed to 'protect'.
I could rant all day about my experiences, but just wanted to let people know who havent seen this and still had the mindset of a 1-14 ticket.
PS: If your a cop, dont mean to bring down your career. I realize there are a lot of professional officers out there, and feel bad sounding negatively against it, just seems in my local township a lot have not been exactly displaying "the right to serve and protect".
Why would else would they change it and possibly increase points?
