Pointless but..Looked at the weather on my phone and saw it was going to rain this whole week. I washed my car Monday anyways before heading out for some grocery shopping.. can't look bad while going out to the store 10 mins away now can i?

So, is it just me? or do some of you wash your car even though you know its going to rain the whole week and you're only going to drive it for a short time that day? Lol

i wash mine 1-2 times a week, with intermittent wipe downs and re-ups on tire shine.
sunday is a full detail day, inside and out. by weds. night its all cluttered again and i can't wait for sunday to clean it lol.

oh but i drive a merc wagon so idk how you e30 kids fare

haha I've used the rain to wash my car before....at a college apartment with no hose, and the car is too low to go through a wash, so wait for a nice long hard rain, bring out the soap and cloths, and wash and rinse in the rain. Back it into the carport and dry it off, and I've got a clean e30 and a shower all in one haha.

i've washed my ix once. and that was to remove all the dirt and detritus building up in the crevices because plants were starting to take root.

i always say it is your inner weather caster. If you ever get the feeling of washing your car, don't, it will rain.

This is how I treat my e30 with a light polish every 6 months. I wonder why it has perfect, glass-like paint still..

I used to own a e30 with mint paint, I washed it every other day and waxed it twice a week. I know what you mean, now I own an e30 with faded paint and used a brillo pad to scrub it clean. Only washed it once in two years...

So I guess what I am getting at is; if you have nice paint why not show it off? I used to carry a full detail kit, now I carry impacts and a three drawer tool box lol.

Yeah, i guess it just depends on what you have.. and also how much time on your hands you have as well.
