      Why?

Ugly car with a bunch of electronic crutches and doesn't even come with a real gearbox.

Swing wild, brake later, don't apologize.

Yeah... Enzo ain't my bag either... although you could just drive around downtown LA all day long picking up gold diggers and getting head with it.

How many known destroyed Enzo's does that make? 4 or 5 now?

Please....if you were invited by Ferarri to purchase one, you don't think you would. I saw a LM002 yesterday, I had to spin around to look at it again.

Well.. if you were invited to buy one by Ferarri you would already own something like half-a-dozen classic/modern Ferarri's and would probably have a bias... and you'd probably turn up your nose at a nice cheap 15+ year old BMW

Assuming they invited me, and I had the money?

              No.

I concur with this one. All that high-tech gadgetry masks a lot what is happening with the car. Even Clarkston on Top Gear stated those electrical aides will help '...the fattest, most butter-fingered driver get around Ferrari's test track just one second slower than the factory test drivers'. Its a catch-22 really. You can look like a great driver and go increadibly quick, but turn off all those safety nets and you will have your hands full.

Don't get me wrong....the Enzo is an amazing car. Ditto goes for the new M5. But I am a purist guy....I like the old school thing. And fortunately BMW plans to release the E60 M5 with a 6-speed manual next year. Now that will be a 'drivers' car.

I just don't know why they have that stupid "M" button in the M5 that actually gives you the full 507 (or whatever) hp... and the fact that it doesn't come on automatically... I don't give a fuck if I am running down the road to get milk... if I'm taking a V10 M5 I want to do it with all the horsepower its got.

Hence all future car purchases will most likely be of pre-1991 cars.

maybe they should have used some metal or something instead of just cloth and glue

High quality carbon reinforced composites = cloth and glue?!? I dunno about you, but this isn't your dad's 'lola'

That must have been a huge impact, to be able to rip apart the passenger compartment of the car...

except for the body the lola is made out of steel. And still weighs like half of what the enzo does. My point is maybe they should have thought of safty instead of just weight. Even they are also mostly carbon fiber I think mclarens have been in similar crashes and they have stayed in tact and pieces of the driver and car didnt have to be picked up from all over.

They destroyed around 20 on the track and for safety testing.

Part of it is under that little green sheet, no doubt.

You have little chance at that high of a rate of speed no matter what car. To tear it apart like that I'm guessing it was going pretty damn fast.
