I'm with you nowadays. I remember when the axles on the hot wheels were junk, and Matchbox made the good stuff. Seems to be the other way 'round now.

Same here!!

But now, Matchbox seems to be owned by the same company as Hot Wheels - Mattel.

I also noticed the newer Matchbox cards have a pic of the actual car instead of just a generic car as well as what looks like a little booklet.

The 959 in the background of my pic is a "World Class" one. Ive had that since I was a kid. mirror glass is pretty faded, I wonder if theres way to get it all shiny again???

edit: I was sitting here comparing pics and thought, " I remember mine had the writing on the sidewalls too..." Then I noticed the writing on the inside of the tires, I had rotated them a long time ago for that cleaner look :rofl: Ive been modifying cars a LONG time

If any of you guys know somebody that collects old school redlines from 1968 and up let me know. Plus i have 70's-80"s-90's and 2000's as well. I have tubs that fit 250 cars in each one,i think i have about 4 of those + 5 packs / snap on hot wheels and alot of other diecast stuff as well. I need to start selling. Way to much to list,way to much lol.
