I also agree these acts are equally as dangerous, but why point the finger? Just because there just as dangerous doesn't make any of it okay. I use to text while driving that shit is dangerous even if you are good at it, I realized how I was not only endangering the public and other people on the road but also myself and my passengers, so I stopped.Comment

@spency
Sorry didn't Lolz at you haha. Well I speak for myself when I say that the only thing i do when I drive high is smoke a cigarette. I always stay alert while driving. I ain't pointing no fingers but looking away from the road to check a text sober is more dangerous than driving a little high and paying attention.HIT A LIL' NIGGA WITH A FREEZE POP

I'm not a smoker, I completely hate the feeling but I'm not against cannabis and I actually admire the plant. A lot of smokers, don't smoke to get high! They smoke so they get normal, people that smoke so much build a tolerance. So basically they smoke to be normal.Comment

look... people make mistakes... and obviously no one is gonna stop doing what they r doing..
it usually takes something drastic for people to change their habits..
it took my major freeway accident for me to be more careful when i drive...
everyone has a story about a friend who was killed by a drunk driver or some kind of intoxicated person behind the wheel of a vehicle...
im all about living your life, i just hope you guys learn before something drastic happens like so many people like me and other r3vvers...

I dunno about the old people thing tho..like that's a right I wanna practice when I get to that age. Plus, they make people above i think age 65 or 70 take there driving test every 5 years. I think that suffices.Comment

we may all want to be able to drive and be independent when we are older but the harsh truth is that the body, mind, and reflexes are greatly affected as one ages. This deterioration in motor skills/perception/ability to react does, of course, vary from person to person
For example: my grandma drove up until she was the ripe old age of 93. We finally took her license after she had her first accident ever at 93...her car was always parked under a pine tree; years of needles had built up the the cars vents and, that day when she switched on the heat, they caught fire and filled the car with smoke as her car lazily putter forward into a parked car. Not her fault/lack of driving skill necessarily.
That all being said, It was scary as shit to drive with her
as for driving/weed just a few things to read:
The arguments all over the easily accessible web, basically, say that other intoxications/distractions are often worse and weed = meh or Intoxicated driving = you're going to die a horrible, fiery death
Personally, I'm comfortable driving while high. I have had plenty of practice and *knockonwood* haven't run into any troubles with it, legal/accidents/otherwise. Do I feel like I'm right and everybody should drive high? well, sometimes I think it would help chill people out and, perhaps, turn driving into a less-asshole-encrusted experience. Though, I do know that NOT everyone can control themselves like I can while high and that I have conditioned myself over years of use to act in a (generally) reasonable manner despite being high as shit.
When I drive sober I tend to speed more/be impatient and ragey with other drivers, when high I 1. don't wanna be pulled over and 2. feel no need to get to my destination ASAP...this is just my experience
If you've even managed to read this far without having been outraged by something i've said, quoted my post, and then retorted, you might be wondering "So, Imsotyerred, how do you really feel about this suject?"
I'm wrong to smoke and drive. I know it. If cannabis were legal would I fight for the right to smoke/drive? HELL NO. Personally, I would push for regulation like alcohol/no tolerance policy of driving high. Of course, I would also fight toward restrictions on scripts like xanax n shit/driving...It scares me to think how many people are driving around while on prescription fuck-em-upsLast edited by imsotyerred; 05-08-2012, 12:11 PM.Comment

By that logic, we should all drive around with blown balljoints. Because everyone else is being dangerous!Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.
