I have a euro plate on the front of my car but it is same number and letters as back. Never been pulled for it and have seen many cops. They probably figure it's ok since half the people around here don't even have one on and it's the law.
Is it tacky...

I agree that Euro plates on a DB car are not technically correct. But I just got my car/valance painted, so I don't really want to put the front plate mount back on it and cover it up (TN does not have/require front plates).
So my choices, from least to most desirable, are:- leave it like that
- fill the gap by fabbing up something using an extra piece of bumper trim and try to make it blend well
- re-install the plate mount and find something non-cheesy to put in it
- mount my (real) Euro plate
