I admit, the following material is very explicit and of a sexual nature...twisted, but very real as it happened to me while I was growing up/
Growing up in the 80's I was the youngest of 4 boys. My older brother was 4 years older than me and was always the BEST at all sports. Even in junior high, he was sprinting against adults in their 20's and beating them all in various 100 and 200m races.
When he was about 10 or 12 he started playing hockey like my older brothers. Once he learnt how to skate fast, he was easily one of the best assets to his team and his coach noticed it and rewarded him for it by taking the "team" out for pizza every once in a while.
On one particular occaision, I recall him being dropped off from a team party when he mentioned to me how cool it was that his coach had a car with push button drive (as our family had old Volvo's with stick shift so this was a pretty cool setup for him). I also recall asking him a few questions like "how did the coach fit everyone into his car, consideirng it was only a 2 door?". He didnt' say much about the party, aside from it was awesome and that they did "all sorts of fun stuff". At the time I was about 6 or so, and he was about 10 or 12.
After that season, he refused to play hockey but became more and more separated from everyone in the family. I also recall him mentioning a few times about the odd things that his coach woudl let him do like "boil coca cola in a kettle while in the hotel room with some other kids". This seemed odd to me, as I recall asking him "why was the team in a hotel room when he told us that they all went out for pizza????" and he never travelled with the team as all the games were held in our city. This just all seemed weird to me, but our parents could not help as we were a very low income family, where our parents could not even give us attention with all their marital issues.
After that time I recall my brother, on occaision, doing weird, perverted things to me, and laughing about it while he did it. I knew it wasn't right, but our parents couldn't give 2 shits about the crap I had to say. And as we grew older, he started getting involved with drugs and with all kinds of crazy shit.
Even in adult life, he continued weird shit and just being a plain asshole to me whenever he got the chance. He committed suicide last summer and after I saw this movie, it gave me reason for why he acted the way he did. both towards me as well as towards his GF and ex wife. Even after he died, I never really forgave him for the constant beatings and perverted shit he was allowed to do to me. When I asked my parents for help (in regards to the meanness, i dare not mention the perverted stuff to them) they just told me to simply live with it and accept it as he was my brother.
I dunno why I posted this here, I guess I just needed to vent.
