they're probably brown and ugly looking because that setup has been running reliably for the last 10-15 years.

I don't love off the shelf Dinan products (overpriced, underperformance), but their custom built cars were pretty well unmatched.

Yes, I'd much rather prefer an Alpina or schnitzer BMW, but wtf? I'm not made of money.
My car has service receipts from my aunt taking it to Dinan in Mountain View. Them dudes charge a fortune

When i bought my 3.7l M30 /E30 off craigslist for peanuts and saw Dinan on all the suspension components, i didn't feel nauseous or anything. I have an iron stomach, though.

I'm kinda with the OP on this one. Older DINAN crap looks about 1 step above some backyard hick rigging most of the time.
                still would take it though.

This. Saw a dinan turbo car the other day and while it was definitely effective and very innovatively packaged, some of the welds and mismatched pipes (tiny ID too) confused me a bit.

Thank you thank you, nice to see people with taste.

Not denying it's effective, but fuck me if I'm paying that much money I wants it pretty too, not looking all ghetto.

                          I don't throw up.... I throw down

On a related note.. I'd rather custom fab everything myself.. That way I know my OCD and perfectionism will kick me in the nuts until it looks perfect; probably even be cheaper that way too, and I'd probably look better..

Are you paying any money though? Or is this like me complaining that Ferrari red is "too red".

they are joined with rubber because the engine moves. solid pipes will crack.
