Eeyballing Blue Point (Snap On) or Mac.

This isn't something I'm going to use all the time, but I will be using frequently.

Suggestions? I know you guys use this shit all the time.

I have a husky die grinder at home that I sometimes use.

So far it's had no problems! It was pretty cheap as well... ;)

I have a $20 angle die grinder I bought from MSC. Works fine. Save the money for Roloc (quick change) discs, which you'll be blowing through. Lehigh Valley Abrasives has great prices on abrasive discs.

I use IR air tools at work without complaint in some pretty heavy industrial jobs. Snap-On air is nice if you like to spend unnecessary amounts of coin and MAC airtools are made by Ingersol Rand anyways. In all honesty the only air tools I have never seen die are the IR's used by many of the guys at work, impacts, die grinders, air ratchets, drills, hammers, all have proven to be extremely reliable and cheaper to buy than the name brands.

Sidenote, any air tool will bite the dust if not fed moisture free air and properly oiled regularly.

IR was what I used back in the day re-building oilfield well-head equipment and such.
I mean they would run for several hours a day sometimes, wire wheeling rust out of bores and ring groves and such. honestly for what they were worth vs. what they put out they were a bargain.
mind you this was 15 years ago or so, so maybe that $45 IR from that then might cost you
$60-70 now, IDK, I unfortunately no longer have a compressor :( so it is a moot point for moi.

For that price I may pick up one of each. I like the angled one better though. Seems more, eh, ergonomic to me.

I've got to do the rear shock towers in the e36 M3. This is why I'm leaning towards the angled one.

With what compressor are you using it with?

One I built out of a washing machine motor, 2 cylinder head, and an old 60 gallon propane tank.


It doesn't work very well... Motor is nowhere near strong enough. But it works.
