    Forza Horizon

So... New Forza game coming out in October. It's an open world racer with a focus on the car "culture." I was hoping it would incorporate Forza's realism into an open world racer, but that doesn't seem to be quite the case.

    Also...E30 M3 and 2002 are confirmed :D

It won't be quite as realistic as Forza 4. But, it is set entirely in Colorado :D

I'm so excited to see the popup headlights finally being used in the game. I spent a lot of extra time getting the vendors to make the headlights in both down and up positions, and it was kinda disappointing when the feature was cut for FM4.

AFAIK the game does use FM4's physics engine, but I think it's been modified a bit to help cars turn at lower speeds? That may be the case. I was really skeptical until I played the proof of concept last year, and it was surprisingly good. The game looks amazing now.

Your car better be included with the pre-release pack.

Yeah it uses the same engine but they noted that it is more like something that more people can "pick up and play." It still looks relatively realistic, so I am going to save judgment until I can actually pick up a controller.

Looks too much like the NFS games, I'll wait to try it before buying though.

Wait, how can you make it "more pickup and play" ? FM4 already felt that way. Quite perfectly actually, I loved the balance.

Well, the developer in the bottom video described it as an "action racer." And by more "pickup and play" he is referring to the average person, not those of us who have an "advanced" understanding of vehicle dynamics.

This is very true, still sounds like even with the changes, it will be very fun.
