Snowboarders shout out - and pray for snow

As soon as I got off work today, I cashed my paycheck and headed straight to the board shop. I got a last-year model Rossignol Sultan 166, and a pair of Northwave boots for $188. The board and boots are both used (I don't see the point in spending the money on new gear, there's plenty of richies out there who get new shit every year, and just trade in the old).

I think this board must have been ridden like 3 times, it's in such beautiful condition, and the boots are like new. I just need to get some new toe straps for my bindings and I'm good to go. I also picked up 3 of the new videos out this year, and I've been watching them all day. I can't wait for the 18th, opening day, bitches.

Meh, we opened on the 4th... cant say that I've gone yet though. Last year, which was real crummy, was my first year riding. I got it down quick and this year I WILL try a backflip. I too am way stokked!

Ah! You're not allowed to spend money! You still owe me $400 :)

No worries buddy, snowboards are more important. I stopped riding when I broke my arm a couple years ago, I just couldn't get over the fact that it almost ruined my golf career (yes, I golf, yes, its my career).

      Anyone own a Rusty snowboard?

yeah i can't wait for the snow. At least now I have one thing to look forward to in the winter. I just started riding last year. I bought some old board from ebay for $30 last year. I didn't even pay for shipping. I had the guy deliver it to me. hahaha. It's not the best, but it paid for itself after the first time I rode it.

I just don't really feel comfortable buying used boots...

Meh, the shop thoroughly cleans and disinfects them, they might as well be new. And these ones look like they were hardly ever used.

Can't wait for this season. going to school an hour and a half from tahoe is amazing. I'm rockin a lib tech right now, I don't plan on needing a new board anytime soon. Definitely need to grab some new boots though, the old ones are pretty beat to hell.

Wakeboarding is to snowboarding as: Datsun is to BMW

I'll definitely be up on Bachelor this season. Ridin' my '96 Burton Rippey haha... it's old, but I can shred the hell out of it (154).

I need to pick up some new boots. Haven't gone for a year or two casue of crappy snow and various other things. I am definately pumped to see that we are getting snow this year. Looks like we will be giving my bros IX a run for its money.
