      Didn't Porsche put one of these on the new 911?

            I kinda... Don't like it..
            It's trying to compromise automatic and manual drive..

            Then again, I am the biggest opposer to anything driven by electrics. Hybrids, electric cars, electric steering, electric shifting. You name it :hitler:


            What happens if somehow there's a short in the system and the electric module to the gearbox fries?

                "Bmw will shortly be releasing their, 'drive by mind' manual transmission. First we saved you hassle by deleting the clutch, now we've deleted the selector entirely! simply think of the gear you'd like to be in, and onboard bmw computers select that gear for you!"

                        a zf320 weighs in at around 60 lbs wet.

                        a getrag 420g comes in at around 110lbs wet.

                        can't imagine what a 7-speed would weigh.
                        1989 325is / 2.7, 274 cam, e30 M3 5-lug

                          Sounds ghey. The whole reason I drive manual is the feel of the car. That is why I hate civics. Clutch pedal feels electronic. If it isnt direct linkage, give me an auto.

                            Naw man, they require you to go to a class which makes you learn which gears are appropriate to shift into, and when.
