Fucking iPhone won't let me copypasta an image link but I'm sure you already know.

Not very. There's a FB group called Peugeot of North America..basically where some American pug owners buy/sell parts, help each other out, etc...
          basically a more primitive/small-scale r3v.

I have a set with french yellows that i'm going to install this winterbreak when i come back to visit the bay area

slow updates. the car was sitting under a rain-proof cover outside my parents house since the summertime.
while the paint job/body work was spot on, the front and rear windshields weren't installed properly - the gaskets are both shot.

in the past couple of days, i made some headway with the help of some of buddies and my dad in regards to the sunroof install.
installed the new electric sunroof cable (a PITA and a half..) as well as the side molding on all 4 corners. All that's left with that is the doors...

            what's left for the exterior?
            -finish door mouldings
            -pair of cibie french fogs
-pin stripe (still on the fence bout that)
-painting the lion on the front grille silver
            -installing the sunroof cassette
-installing the glass one-piece european headlights
-track down another set of 15" STI wheels to refinish and wrap in some sticky tires
-stiffer springs from the turbo model
-thicker sways from the turbo model
-and some other shit that im forgetting.

the interior is FAR from where I want it, and I want to lift out the engine to tackle the bay, firewall, and other misc electrical grem's that have been around for years.

still got another few years before I see it being my ideal sunday driver, but in the meantime i'm back to school. next time i'll see it is next summer, hopefully!

My Aunt had a Peugeot. She had more problems with that car. It was always in the shop for major shit. It was a 504 Diesel. Cracked heads multiple times. A cracked block one time. A ridiculous amount of repairs
I had the pleasure of driving it once. It was the slowest car I have ever driven. Seriously bad. 35mph up the Sepulveda Pass. Outright embarrassing.
How could a Company do a customer like that.
              Under powered, overpriced POS.

The 505 was a much better car than the 504. We had an '81 505 Turbo diesel that might still be on the road here in the bay area somewhere. The only real issues it had was its tendency to break speedo cables. Replacing them was a serious PITA.

I had a 69' Datsun Roadster 1600 when I was eighteen. I just got rid of it three summers ago. Cool little car with a Mercedes engine.

Good looking car you have there. I've always wanted a 505. LS swapped.

^ I know of a few guys down under who've done the v8 or nissan swaps and they're pretty bitchin.
this car's bay is enormous enough to handle some big thangs.
plus its a big sedan with fantastic weight distribution and handling so it can handle it.

Its not that big of a car, and why would you want to screw up the handling by dropping a brick of a V8 in the car? Leave the Peugeot powered by Peugeot!

I think it'd be a cool project for someone who find a beat up old diesel model in CA (which there are plenty of). No smog laws means you could go nuts with whatever you decide to throw in there.

With this car personally, my plan is to do an out-of-bay rebuild on the 2.0 pushrod unit someday.

Yesterday was my birthday. Also the Pug's birthday as well..it rolled off the line exactly 10 years before I was born.

So I took it out for a quick lil drive, started up immediately after not having been touched *at all* for over 5 months
