For a laser cutter build.....I think I'll mix and match. "Build log" frame(duh, it's just an erector set for engineers - a monkey could build the frame), usb/arduino/industrial stepper drivers, electronics, and a chineese 40 or 60 watt laser. I'm in no hurry to finish it. I have a laser cutter guy 3 blocks away. But, one thing I've learned is that when you build a complex tool, when it breaks, you know how to fix it. If you open up the check book, and someone drops it off....when it releases the magic smoke, you're kinda screwed.

Dang it George, I get so jealous of your projects.....

Ha! Don't be, some times I have more time then money. If it was up to me, I'd have both. But all told, I guess it's a good thing.

Had mine since December, its been perfect. Not once have I had to wait for the phone to catch up to me. I keep it in a OB defender and it has survived multiple drops from locomotives onto gravel.

Also, the damn thing really is smart. It has some great features.

It really is. I think its leaps and bounds better than the droid line even having the same hardware.
