Dining alone while on a business trip just seems so much more 'comfortable/normal' than dining alone when not on business.
Seeing a movie alone comes so natural to me.
Movies aren't social environments anyway so why would anybody feel that they have to bring someone? Chances are the girl I am dating is not going to want to see a movie like Prometheus and I am definitely not going to ask a dude to the movies. Most of the time, the only option is to go alone.
You know what really grinds my gears? I have had multiple people point out when I have answered their phone call right away. Then they proceed to say something like, "Have you been sitting and waiting for my phone call derp, derp?". "No, I haven't you fucking prick. In this day in age, everyone has their phone in their pocket so if you stand there staring at your phone for 5 minutes before you pick it up, you're a fucking tool".

I usually take my lunch alone mainly cause its nice and quiet. It definitely takes my mind off my work for an hour so my day dosent drag.
I did that today actually. and yet im still on here posting when i should be working :P
I don't even own this car anymore, but I'm too lazy to change the picture.
Any of you "alone eaters" ever hooked up with, or even gotten a waitress' number?
Their pay depends on how nice they are, so I always feel like they are being nice to me for a big tip, rather than MY big tip.
Been successful on some solo girls in the restaurant, but never a waitress.
Twice. Both bartenders @ Outback. One Orlando, one Anderson, SC. Easy peasy. Hotel clerks as well, one in Waco, one in Jax beach. I was on the road as much as sleeve through out my 20's. Those were the days, 48 states in 8 years. I used to be the man before I met my wife.... Now I don't travel as much, and I lub her. <---------GAYNESS
I enjoy eating out alone.. Depending on the place I'll sit at the bar but no problem asking for a table. Lunch is definately much easier to do at first but I don't see the problem with it. Usually when you go to a place to eat, there are a couple of people alone. Don't do this much anymore though, the little man takes up all my time and we are always eating meals together
Movies are easy to, like people have said, they aren't social events so why the need to go with people? Not that I don't go with people but nothing wrong with going alone. If it bothers you so much just tell yourself you'll never see them again!
Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.
Wife was just telling me about her childhood friend, who apparently likes to do this now. She said that she doesn't even bring a book or break out her phone to look busy and not alone. Girl is hot too, and not a carpet muncher or anything. I actually don't think she has ever had a real boyfriend/relationship. It is weird....
I like doing it, it is very relaxing not to have to hear the wife debate to herself and anyone else within earshot what she should get to eat for 10 mins, then decide on something like a salad. I think it's easier to do here in Germany since a lot of people will go to cafe/restaurants alone to have a drink...though I am usually reading a car mag or something.
