We've got the first one I posted, 55 diesel, from the farm as well. Grand dad bought it new in 1957 for my dad to drive, since the 70 was too big.

Just got the 55 restored. Now I use it on occasion. 3 generations....and it'll go onto the fourth if the world doesn't end.

My Dad has the tractor (e21) he bought new in 1979. One day, when he's too old to drive, I suspect it will be mine. Spency, keep your e21. If it isn't all rusty, you've actually got something pretty rare. Bimmer magazine did a really nice piece on the 1980 revamp of the e21. Im pretty sure it was issue #100, from Aug. 2012. Sorry I don't have it here with me to scan at the moment.
