That's like standing in front of a bar picking people out "Well you were drunk in the bar, that's fine-now you're one foot on public property, you're under arrest."

I don't know about Cali, but a LOT of states have laws like that. Heck, a lot of places its illegal to have an open container of alcohol in public.

never driven drunk, never had a DUI.

saturday night after dropping off the ladyfriend i was driving home in my 92 tercel. About a mile from my house i had to "take evasive action" to avoid 3-4 deer and ended up headfirst first in a ditch.

the coilovers on my car are a bit too stiff in the rear, and since my car is fwd, lift-throttle oversteer is very possible (100% possible in this case).

i was in the middle of making a left hand turn, and as i was beginning to straighten out the deer crossed in front of me (they were going left to right). i reacted by lifting off the gas (mistake #1) and turning in hard to avoid them (mistake #2). this threw the car into a slide, which lasted about 25-30 feet, and ended up in a drainage ditch. as the front end dropped into the ditch, the front bumper stopped against the other side, which caused me to get launched into the roof of the car. There is now a nice dent in the roof from my head, and my neck hurts from having to stop the weight of my entire body. I called my dad to bring my truck and a tow strap so we could recover the car. As he shows up about 20 min. later, so do 5 state troopers. They were just thrilled to see me.

because it was 2:30 in the morning, the troopers had a whole bunch of questions to ask me. They obviously thought i had been drinking, and i was slightly dizzy from hitting my head. I showed them the dent in the roof and explained that that's why i was dizzy, they relaxed a bit, gave me a copy of the accident report, and went on their way.

Yay, no DUI for the guy who wasn't drinking anyway.

^LOL. house I bought was from a guy with DUI, I found his ticket in some papers he left, lol. Lots of friends have dui. Friend has a breathalyzer in car. I do drive drunk and even have talked to cops drunk, never busted. I've been cruising on the freeway with 2 hwy patrol behind me and one to my left. I thought I was done then they all just tore off after a minute of following. I know the tricks of what they look for and also I'm not a shitty driver which helps. Always thought they should have a driving test where you can drive on a course at a cetain % of alcohol, if you pass then you can drive up to that %. Just pay money and put it on the license.

He was taken away from a beautiful wife, 5 children and 4 step children that loved him very much. He was a mechanic in Loris SC. He had help me and my best friend finish supercharging an e30 that morning.

Timothy Fowler now sits in SC Prison for at least the next 15 years of a 20 year sentence. One of the longest DUI sentences possible in the state of SC. He had 2 previous DUIs. He was 23 years old, same age as me when he killed my dad. He will have the opportunity to still have a life someday...

Friend of mine got a DUI without even getting pulled over. He was coming home from somewhere, a small part or something and was buzzed. He came up to a construction area in his local town and was confused on where to go and how to get around it. A cop was there waiving people along and the cop stopped him as he was passing by to tell him where to go. Or maybe my friend was asking where to go. My friend normally is like an old hippy from the 60's and says "man" and "dude" a lot. So the cop I guess thought he was drunk and tested him. He was like .02 over the limit or something.

So, my friend got a DUI without even being pulled over! No jail time, only got a suspended license for 2 years. And since he didn't get any jail time, his employer never knew that it happened. He works for Intel :)
