Congrats, my daughter is 2 and a half. Time flies with little ones.

I just read that babies who rely on paicifiers wake up more often an cry because of when their pacifier falls out of their mouth. Also heard that they tend to not suck as much on the mothers nipples because of sucking on the pacicifer, which causes the baby to not get as much food as she should.

That makes sense. I guess I won't know which is better, but it may be better in the long run (not relying on a pascifier to self-soothe, break habit, etc.). My boy does use me as a pasci, but not as much since he's eating solids. I've been told they lose interest once they start crawling & walking.

If you want more sleep, say you're a heavy sleeper. ;) My guy actually is so he doesn't get up in the night. I've had to just accept it after many frustrated nights.

Congrats on your first little one. the strange thing with a little one is, it usually opens the gates to more, following little ones.

there is no feeling like seeing your baby daughter enter the world (sons are pretty awesome too ;), she will make you better for it too.
