Awesome little baby! My guy & I had our 1st boy, 8months ago. I miss him being that tiny.

As far as a pascifier goes....why are you avoiding? I was told to avoid it (from a friend), & she forgot to mention, to only avoid for first 2weeks so breastfeeding (which I assume your wife is doing) can be established. I wish I would have known because now he won't take one & man do I wish he would. Also, like someone said, it will be easier to break than a thumb. My bf sucked on his thumb too long & it caused his roof of mouth to be pushed up really far, instead of just a slight curve. Not that it really did damage. Just advice from a new mom as I find myself quite often, thinking I'm so lost on this baby stuff.

I just read that babies who rely on paicifiers wake up more often an cry because of when their pacifier falls out of their mouth. Also heard that they tend to not suck as much on the mothers nipples because of sucking on the pacicifer, which causes the baby to not get as much food as she should.

Awesome man! My gf had to be induced, it sort of took the excitement of natural labor out of it, but I'm glad my daughter is here.

They're inducing my wife on Tuesday, she's farther along now than she was with our first when we actually got to the hospital, so she could go at any time between now and then.

congrats !! My boy is almost 4 months old. Amazing how time flys...the sleepless nights are the worst. We tried to stay away from a pacifier as well but man he loves that thing and it calms him down when he doesn't seem to actually want/need something.
