Can't tell if serious. So I will assume you aren't. Laws in Ga can be pretty strict when the extent of the sentence is dealt. It has to do with the Judge, and any history that this school has had regarding break ins. If the Judge wants to prove a point, it's up to them to do so. When you take first offender, you risk the chance of recieving the full sentence in order fo rit to be exponged.
He has already accepted the fact that he fucked up, he is paying for it, and doing what he is supposed to do. Which is alot more than I can say for most of the younger generation, who generally don't give a rats ass. All he was saying is that it's frustrating, and I would agree, consequences usually are.
Prying, and not believing his story doesn't change that fact, it just stirs a pot that probably doesn't exist in anyone's mind but your own. Go troll elsewhare.

I didn't steal the computer, however I did have the computer in my house. Its still a crime, I get that. I already tried to prove i was innocent in court, and lost becasue my friends denied everything and pinned it all on me. I did admit fault of having the computer. when the cops told me it was stolen, I showed them the computer, and told the full story, was called a liar and would be charged for lying on an official police record, so they scared me into a confession. I really don't care who believes me or not, its not a big deal.

I would be fighting to clear your name. It may not seem like an issue now, but having a record can make many things very difficult for you later in life.

I figured out it was theft by recieving after the second post. Where he said, "theft by recieving". He admitted to fault. He did it and admitted to it. So he took what was coming to him.

I don't normally post in threads like this, but I feel compelled because your story hits very close to home. I could've been you, but when the 60" TV showed up in my living room I told my friends it had to go or they needed to find a new couch to crash on. FYI, for all you whipper-snappers out there, 60" was REALLY big ten years ago.

Anyway, I was lucky, but a few of my friends ended up in situations similar to yours. Not for the TV, but other stupidities. At the time, to most of the cops, parents, burglary victims, etc. we all looked like a bunch of jackass kids who would never be good for anything. I knew better (and still do) that we were kind and ultimately good people. That part of us was just being surprised by alcohol an testosterone.

My advice is this, although it may seem that they (the proverbial Man) are ruinning your life, they aren't. You CAN survive it and you can put it behind you. Whether or not you do is up to you.

I'm doing pretty well for myself now. I'm a licensed engineer and I have a good job that allows me to drive a silly red coupe from the 80's almost 20k miles a year against all reason and good judgement. The people I know and work with now have no idea what I was like as a kid and they wouldn't understand even if I told them. Just get through it and move on. If you don't, then you will end up like some of those friends I mentioned before. They are still doing the same old shit.

That is why I don't hang out with friends who will screw me. If I ever got arrested they get nothing but a blank stare. Even "IF" there was a video it could get thrown out for some stupid technicality. Innocent till the Jury says guilty. But FWIW I have never or ever intent to commit any crime besides speeding.
