Love threads/stories like these.
I havent really had a whole lot a creepy things happen to me, but i do believe in ghosts/spirits/what ever you wanna call them.
Few short stories i have..
When I was younger, probably ten or so, I would wake up in the middle of the night a few times a month and see a figure facing me. Whats odd about it is that it was always in the same spot, just outside of my bedroom standing next to these tall upright stereo speakers my father had. Thinking back on it I dont remember being all that creeped out by seeing the figure but now the idea of it makes me think "what the hell was i thinking not being creeped out " haha.
More recent event that actually creeped me out was about a year or so ago. Me and my mother had moved into a new house across town (parents were divorced), we had only lived in the house for maybe 2 years or so. Anyway one night my mom was out of town for work training so it was just me in the house, i had gotten home after midnight and ended up climbing right in bed when i got there. At around 2am or so I was woken up by a high pitched scream of my name (Michael) coming from right out side my window or so it sounded. Immediately I yelled my mothers name thinking she needed my help or something was wrong, no answer. So now I'm just sitting on my bed and it hits me, my mom wasn't home! I had woke up so fast that I forgot about her business trip, lets just say it was tough getting back to sleep that night.
Do you believe in ghost?

Ive had things appear in front of me during the night in the same house where my previous post happened.
First time, was when I was in middle school. I usually slept with the TV on all night because I just fall asleep and forget the timer. So my tv is placed in front of a large window with horizontal blinds and my window is in the direct path of the moon most nights so i get a large amount of light from it.
So one night I fell asleep and I woke up in the middle of the night. Before I open my eyes I can hear my TV going and as usual that late at night its infomercials. So still with my eyes closed I grabbed my remote to shut off the TV, it doesnt work. So I open my eyes only to see a large pitch black figure standing in front of my TV and the foot of my bed. When I say large I mean HUGE. My ceiling is about 10ft up and this thing was 2 1/2ft wide and standing from the floor all the way up to the ceiling and hunched. I cant see a face or eyes just the figure looking at me.
It was pitch black, not transparent whatsoever because I can see the tv glaring on each side of the figure as well as the glare from the moon behind him. Mind you this was not sleep paralysis because I was completely mobile and breathed normally. I felt like I was staring at a demon or some shiit. I was scared so I pulled my blanket up and just waited. I can see the lights through my blanket and his shilouette. I stayed there watching him watching me all the way till the the light outside turned from moonlight to darkness to daylight. He disappeared at dawn.
Second time, I was sleeping on my side. But I did not wake up nonchalantly like before. I was rudely awakened my what sounded like a damn pitbull about to attack me. It was the loudest most intense growling I have ever had in my life. I open my eyes and there he is again this time he was hunched all the way over and literally 3inches away from my face. I jump and back up a foot and pushed on the bed and made it slant a bit. I did the same shit I did last time except I closed my eyes. I hear the loud ass growling and I yell for my parents, they open there door and run to mine knocking, the growling stopped but the bed is still slanted from pressure. I yell something is in here and my parents unlock the door and it all disappears. I was scared shitless. I asked my mom to stay up the night since it was almost morning anyways.
Fast forward a year. My uncle and family comes to visit along with his inlaws. My uncle and his wife take my room (originally my brothers) and the inlaws take the guest room. I sleep in the living room with the cuzzos. Well little did I know, I just found out last year or so. My aunt was awakened every single night with a single growl. No figures but a growl and the sense something was not right in that room and was watching everything. (I just got chills while writing this.) She said it was something large and unpleasant just couldnt see anything.
Fast forward another year and a half. My brother returns from the Marines. He takes his room back and I move to the guest room. He tells me that a few nights something woke him up but nothing was there. Except for one night that scared him like never before. He said, He was abruptly woken up to a deeply growly voice that yelled his name (Mind you his name is not a traditional name like Joe, or Josh its unique) Being shocked by this he opens his eyes and right then and there something grabbed his ankles and pulled him down towards the foot of the bed, when he looked it was that same large black ominous figure.
Three different people, 4 seperate incidents, 1 room. We are a religous family so we did our prayers and all that and blessed the room again. Nothing really happened in that room but I think what really happened was we pushed it out side because occasionally after that Id see a shadow pass by our windows at night.Leave a comment:

My grandma worked at a nursing home for a long time. She was as skeptical as you could get about supernatural stuff like this, but that changed. She told stories about big laundry bins that would start rolling and even begin tossing out soiled garments by themselves, and dishes set up in the dining room that would all suddenly get thrown on the floor. They suspected it was the spirit of a man whose wife was still alive in the nursing home. When his wife died, the events stopped.
Nevertheless, I'm still skeptical. However, my grandma, even in her mid 70's, is a mentally sharp person, so it's hard to disregard these stories, along many other convincing ones.Leave a comment:

To anyone who is put into a situation like this, I suggest doing funny stuff like yelling Jamaican shit at the top of your lungs, like, BLODCLOT, or rappin verses real loud waffleswaffleswaffles.Leave a comment:

I've had countless times where I've seen figures out of the corner of my eye, then looked at them just to see that nobody is there. It happens in different random places, no pattern to it. Logic dictates that it's just an optical illusion, but still...
Other than that, nothing ghostly has ever really happened to me. I've led a pretty normal life in that regard.Leave a comment:

If Ghosts truly exists, why haven't slaves come back to haunt whites?

When I was younger my parents would leave me home alone as they tended to parties that I did not want to attend. So Id be in the house alone till like 11pm at times.
Well whenever Im alone all I do is watch tv in the living room laying on the couch. One night things just started to happen. As I was watching TV some electrical hiccups started happening, things like the lights would flicker and the tv going to white noise a few times for like 2 seconds.
I brushed that off thinking its normal, I was like 10 yrs old so wtf did i know. So sometime passed with nothing happening. Until I heard the jiggle of a doorknob, we had the push button to lock the door type locks and if anyone knows what im talking about then you know when a door is locked it can only be turn slightly from the outside and it makes like a clicking jiggle sound.
I was hearing that sound from one door, it would jiggle a few times and stop, jiggle a few times and stop. Being young I was creeped out but curious. So I went to the hallway with all the bed rooms. Some doors are open some closed but all the lights were off. I decided to open all doors and turn ALL lights on. I checked everyroom, nothing, I went back to the couch and continued to watch tv.
10 or so minutes later, I hear that shit again. jiggle jiggle stop, jiggle jiggle stop, then the jiggling started to sound like multiple doors. I get creeped the fck out because thats impossible. I then hear the sound of footsteps from the hallway, we had an all carpet house but it was built in the 70s so theres some creaking which I heard. I turn my attention to the floor from the hallway, I cant explain why I saw what I saw.
Instead of foot prints on the carpet like anyone wouldve expect I saw something that I feel is creepier. I saw the carpet make wave like motion starting from the hallway like the picture i created below;

It did this from the hallway passed the dinging room down a single step into the living room i was in. I was watching this thing come closer and closer and when it was 2 feet away I shut my eyes but I could hear it get all the way to the foot of the couch. I kept my eyes shut and prayed. I hear the doors again, and I hear the tv do the white noise thing again then I can tell everything turned off. I know if i opened my eyes it would be pitch black so I kept the closed and waited for my parents. I waited and waited in complete silence and complete stillness on the couch, it was beyond eerie at the point.
Finally my parents get home, they usually open the garage to get in but they used the front door as soon as i hear the door open I can hear the tv turn on and the living room light turn on. Still scared I waited for my parents voice, I heard it and said fck this and opened my eyes.
FUUCK ME!! all the doors that I left open all the lights I turned on beside the living room were off and closed. I hear my parents talk about the garage door opener possibly having dead batteries. but later find out it was fine. Everything went back to the way it was before anything happened kinda like to remove any evidence.
I have more things that have happened to me. Just lazy to write em out right now.Leave a comment:

Did Bloody Mary with my bro when we were younger.
Later that night when we were sleeping (slept in same room) we heard pots and pans and what not clanking downstairs. We bolth went down to investigate, and nothign was there, pans were still and everything. we just shrugged it off, got something to drink and started on your way upstairs.
On our way my brother asked me if I touched his shoulder, and I hadn't. We both stared at each other for a second, pretty scared, and then heard a noise by our bathroom.
We started to make way towards our bathroom and we saw something run across the room. It was just black and tall, that's about the extent of what we saw. We bolth took off upstairs and just layd in our beds scared af.
I have not done the Bloody Mary thing since, and I have tried the Ouija Board with no success, but I have seen people do it with success.
Shit is trippy.Leave a comment:

and Urbancynic, that's creepy as fuck.[/quote]
That's the one weird thing I've "experienced". My mom on the other hand has a few stories.
She grew up in a house in a small town that was started in the early 1700's in New Jersey along the Delaware River. The house itself was built in the late 1700's.
At some point in it's history the house had been used as a sort of hospital and also experienced severe damage when a nearby mine or mill had an explosion. I'm not as familiar with the details as she is, but she knew that in the explosion there was someone inside the house killed. We don't know for sure, but its probably safe to assume that a few people died inside the house over the years, especially being used as a hospital.
She used to tell stories about when she was a little girl she would always hear footsteps going up and down the hallway at night and sometimes they would go up into the attic. The weird thing about the attic was that it was only accessible with a sort of pull down ladder. The ladder was never down because no one needed access to the attic at night. But she said she distinctly heard the ladder creaking as if it were being used.
She did say one night she heard the footsteps in the hallway so she decided to look to see if it was one of her siblings playing around. When she opened the door she saw an older lady in a white night gown going down the hallway and disappear as she passed by where the access to the attic was. She said the nightgown the lady was wearing looked like something from the mid 1800's, which is when the explosion occurred.
Her younger sister still lives in that house and she has told me similar stories about the woman in white.
I never experienced that, but I never spent much time in that house except on the odd Thanksgiving when I was little. But that was long before she ever shared these stories with me. I do remember it being a cool old house though.Leave a comment:

Lmao nice.Let me start this off by saying I haven't consumed any drugs, hallucigenics, bath salts, or anything of the sort this evening. I have been smoking weed all day, but that's hardly relevant.
Yeah your going to have a hard time convincing me. I don't believe in ghosts, and everytime i think something creepy or strange noises/shit happens in my house i investigate it and its always been something explainable or nothing.
Ones of these days tho i feel like I'm going to hear something weird & check it out, but then its something wicked fucked up. That will be the day i believe :PLeave a comment:
