Philly peps...buy me a beer

So im leaving for philly friday morning for a cousins wedding this weekend.
Never met them so not sure what im getting myself into haha then going to atlanta sunday.


Honestly its my first time to the east coast so if you see an asian guy at the bars saying hes from cali. Buy him a beer!! lol


Anyways, any cool places to check out? Only thing I know of philly is from 8th grade history and from the show "always sunny"

If you're doing the touristy thing and like history old city is fun. the bar scene there is okay too, triumph brewery has good live music and brews their own beer. Northern liberties is another good neighborhood with a ton of bars and good looking chicks, though it is hipster central. Depends on how much time you have and what you wanna do.

I'm sure we'll do the tourist thing with the family during the day and I'm hoping the "cooler" cousins take me out to the bars at night. I'm pretty used to the hipster crowd when I go to the bay area so that wouldnt be a problem.

Check out the Purple Martini towards the end of the night, it's a good place to stumble into. (lol) Also, (Sorry Philly people) try not to get your expectations for cheese steaks at Geno's or Pat's too high. It's not worth the trip if you are having a great night at the bars.

Purple martini isn't a dive bar or gay bar is it? lol I come to a conclusion that bars with colors in their name usually are dive bars or gay bars.

Also any cool places to run into the crew of always sunny in Philadelphia? I love that show lol

Don't go to pats or genos. go to jims on south street... they are superior.
