Its the trend of the day, covering that shitty song. I think its just that its so horrible that, originally, everyone thought doing rap/pan flute/death metal versions would sound better than the original.

And theyre right. Like in this case, getting rid of the terrible vocals improves it. Bit too much going on for strings but still better than original.
