AutoCAD is the standard in Civil Eng, I can see the hate towards it for 3D modelling but for simple 2D it's adequate. I still don't like it, as I like to see things in 3D, especially for hydraulic design (can import and export DXF files from modelling software but still limited) but that's the name of the game. Just have to use what is accepted in the industry.

I'm having flash backs to high school of tolerance errors, zip drives, and trying to use the chrome surface finish and crashing the computer....I did make an entire skateboard though. Is it that hard to draw a rectangle, add an arch on each side, and then extrude the whole drawing? Damn I must have forgotten a lot!
*Edit* No hate. After 10 years of never using it again it seems I might have forgotten a few things.

How similar are the user interfaces and commands between Solid Works and AutoCAD?
I got bored a couple days ago and my brother told me to draw up some blueprints for an E30 tow hitch. Nothing spectacular here. Pretty basic stuff.
Made this for someone on here a couple months ago.
