I hope the company dies a fiery death.

The company that employs me as a writer pays me through Paypal and usually there is no hassle besides the few day wait to transfer the money to my bank account, but today Paypal has my money as "pending" to "ensure my safety". It says it may take up to 24 hours and it's already been all day.

Just needed to rant because Paypal never ceases to be a pain in the fucking ass.

Have you tried calling them? Sometimes all it takes is a phone call.

Happened to me once because I got an unusual large sum for a sale.
I don't know if it was because of the amount, or because I logged into PayPal at school to transfer it to my bank.

eBay and paypal both do lots of tracking via cookies/ip address. I'm sure there were a lot of other people that have logged into their paypal account at your school using the same i.p. Maybe they thought it was a hacker, or something.

Could be. They made me verify something on email before my account was unfrozen.

Paypal is very nice when you get them on the phone. It might take awhile to get a hold of a rep but once you do they are very helpful. I've had my fair share of issues with Paypal and they have always resolved problems very fast on the phone.

Don't blame Paypal, blame the company you work for. They should have a Paypal debit card and can use it to get money out instantly.

shouldn't happen again after they verify the sender and there ability to transfer the amount in question..

Kinda like a payroll account for a normal company.

Edit: this too happened to MonkeyMadness Performance (me) about two weeks back and got a nice lady on the phone from
paypal to explain it all to me..

then again, you do work for a company that pays through paypal....thats weird.

I would either want to be paid by check or directly. not once was i ever offered to be paid that way.

Well it's not like this is the first time they paid me... I get paid through Paypal every two weeks by the same company, and actually usually larger amounts. It's never before been pending... God DAMNIT. Just checked, still pending.

I would rather do direct deposit but since I'm part-time and commission-paid they pay me via Payn(intheass)Pal

fuck PAY PAL!!! they are a illegitimate bank that holds your money against your will and doesnt pay interest on it.

if they wanted to they could lend your money to whom ever and make interest off your money and not give you a dime.

I guess I am way behind the times; this is the first I've heard of someone being paid by a company through paypal..but they do suck. I wouldn't use them if it wouldn't make everything so much more difficult.
