    Very unfortunate. He acheived a lot during his 35 years. At least he's no longer suffering now.

            WOW no way, Richard Burns was my fav driver in the WRC. RIP and best wishes to his family. So sad to see an awsome guy like that go.

              Can't say this was surprising unfortunatley. Astrocytoma is nasty.

              He actually attended the WRC event at britain a few months back, and there actually was a public photo of him. Just seeing how far out his eyes had gouged was horrifying.

              Really tragic, but scary when you figure out how he was diagnosed. He was actually driving to an event in 2003, and blacked out in his 993 turbo at 100+ mph, the passenger (Markko Martin) actually had to grab the wheel to prevent them from wrecking. It then later turns out that this had been a regular occurance for him, and had happened a number of times in competition that year.
