x2 for a local burger. Last time I went to SLC I stopped at In-N-Out for a 4 patty, but it was le meh. We have a Five Guys up here, I've been once, and only once. It was even lower ranked in my book than In-N-Out. When I lived in SoCal, I went to The Habit every so often, but again a local burger is always better than a chain burger.
Example...
My good friend is the Chef at Republic. www.republicamericangrill.com/

Fire grilled 8oz 100% angus beef burger with lettuce, tomato, red onion, melted gouda and roasted garlic mayo on a split top bun. $9.99Comment

^Well, I'm just saying for the same price I can get a better burger and am at a place I could have a cold craft brew with it, why would I go to a chain. If we all started focusing on small independent places as opposed to the chain mentality we as a nation have, we could get back to originality and craftsmanship.Comment

ohh man, you and I..we feelin' each other right now.

My cuzzo took me to the one in Anaheim, best burger I've ever had.
Be sure to bring spare boxers if you cap it with a milkshake and fries.Comment

This kind of thinking is what we need--lots of local businesses will take the time, effort and expense to source their ingredients from better, local sources than chains will.^Well, I'm just saying for the same price I can get a better burger and am at a place I could have a cold craft brew with it, why would I go to a chain. I gotta agree about the whole chain fast food place idea. It's cheaper out where I live to go to a local burger joint than it is to even go to the fast food. Plus you know who you're supporting, and you can actually know where your foods are coming from.
It's funny, our town put huge restrictions on businesses in the town which enabled the local businesses to fit within the parameters, but the big businesses want it their way or they walk away, so all we have are local businesses in our community. Even better is the fact the house prices are higher than the surrounding areas because there isn't all the riff raff that comes with big businesses.Comment

Ruffs, when were you in Anaheim? Are you coming here again? I was at that Slater's last night!I Timothy 2:1-2Comment

Farmin, same price as what?^Well, I'm just saying for the same price I can get a better burger and am at a place I could have a cold craft brew with it, why would I go to a chain. In-n-Out is $2.15 for a cheeseburger and $1.85 for fries. Me, the wife and bambino are done for $8.96 (CB x 3 + fries x 1).I Timothy 2:1-2Comment

Roughly the same price as a value meal. 7.99 for burger fries and a drink at most chain places.Comment
