So I was driving by and saw three 2002's...

I've seen them at this shop in the middle of nowhere for a while now, and decided to stop by yesterday. Two are square tailed-one was in a flood, and the other was a roundie. The roundie runs, body's in good condition, etc...but this isn't the highlight of the find.

I talked to the shop owner and he was going on about those, he wanted a pretty high ticket for them asking 3k for the squares, and 4k for the roundie. Then he brought me in the back and showed me his E9 "DD"...that happens to be for sale. Anyone want to take a stab at what you think it would be worth? Running M30, body is straight, very little rust, cheap respray in it's past, interior is in C+/B- condition.

That E9 reeks of potential, but I bet he won't let it go for a fair price. :\

3 and 4k for the 2002s I am not betting you will not get that E9 for a good price.

I came into this thread expecting a bakery, and was pleasantly surprised.

            were you with your dad?

$10k for that e9 if it has little rust like you say.

He said he's been throwing it around every once in a while for $9k, but he said if someone showed up with $6-$6,500 (so $6k) in cash he'd let it go. As I said it's in the middle of no where, so not much of a market with just a F/S sign in the window and he didn't seem like the type to be on forums or even craigslist.

Obviously it would need a little more inspection, but as another said, I think it reeks potential.

"Very little rust" and "E9"? That's sketchy, beware. I love the car, though. Good luck if you end up buying it!
