maybe not so much, but I've been playing around w/ the options lately and was completely oblivious to how much we could change our user experience while browsing.
the first one I'd like to point out is having our posts in ascending order versus the opposite.
mind=blown.

Turning off sigs, avatars, and setting the forum to max display.

Makes for a much easier reading experience. This allows a user to read, comprehend, gather their thoughts, and THEN post instead of being distracted by a slammed e30 cabrio on BBS RS's with an 8 inch lip or some shiny new internet meme.
