    RC plane/heli/gliders thread...

I haven't messed around with the RC stuff since I was a kid.

But the prices on hobby stuff is amazing now-a-day (thanks china!) The cost of a receiver, and transmitter when I was a kid, was more then a used car - in today's dollars a 4 channel FUTABA radio cost something like $1500. Now, less then a $100.

I'm really tempted to build this:

i had a Sturdy Birdy II when i was a kid. Its in the attic right now. I built it myself a age twelve. I don't think i got it together until i was like fourteen. It was really fun to fly, until i crashed it into the ground one to many times. Now you've got me thinking about fixing it.

That is very cool! I wouldn't mind building one.

You guys should sell it as a kit!

Price check on Vagiclean, aisle five. I repeat: price check on Vagiclean, aisle five. That's Vagiclean. We've got a customer down here with a full-on fallopian fungus. I'm baking a loaf of bread and I think it's sourdough.

I've been looking for an awesome glider to throw off of my roof.

Brushless motors and ESC's have come down so drastically thanks to the lack of copyrights as well.

                    That's a cool cheap bird.

The cost has gone from $200 for a speed controller to $10, but they are all PWM'ed mosfets with a mass manufactured chip(or something - I haven't opened one up) - I don't think it's a matter of copyright infringement.

As chips like that get used in LED christmas lights and stuff - china can make they for next to nothing.
