Dude shooting the video was an even bigger loser than the owner. WFT is he bothering him for. Just see it laugh and move on. If he feels like the intercooler makes his car look cool, then let him do it. A lot of shit we do is purely cosmetic too. Just keeping it real.

I want to work on cars. I can't go to meets w/o having to listen to someone talk about how much cooler or better their car is because of what they added or paid to have done.
Bottom line is this. People are inherently stupid. Whether it be on the road, in person, on the internet, or by themselves. We are all guilty of this in different ways. Showing the world how one person is "lying" doesn't make you cooler, or better than them. It makes you a tattle tale. What could anyone possibly gain from this? ESPECIALLY that MKIV vs the Corolla. That was just sad, the MKIV wasn't built at all and barely pulled on a bone stock Corolla with a wing.
People love their cars. They have pride in them. They install things onto them looooong before they have a complete customization. Who cares anymore? Making fun of someone because they share the same love or respect for a car brand, but go about it the wrong way (in your opinion), is useless. Like the M badge deal. Who the hell cares anymore. I used to make such a big deal out of it, but honestly, as long as I know what it is, who cares, why should I get angry or argue with someone. I'm not BMW, I am just a guy who likes cars.
Let people be who they are, and spend more time enjoying your car and others cars. You don't have to prove you're better anymore. I promise, keeping an even keel and your mouth shut in these situations makes you the better person of the bunch.
Last time I went to a meet in GA, I had two people in particular (who I know through the forums) come up to me, and instead of saying "hi, how's it going", dive into "dude, you won't believe what I did to my car". Or "hey come look at my car". I would say "what happened? is something wrong with it?". They would say "No man, you need to see what I've done."
Nope, I don't. I want to know how you are, how your family is, how your job is going. We can talk cars, but I don't go to meets to do that right away. I go to meets to see people. Their cars are how I met them, but honestly, if they sold their cars, I would want to stay in touch with them. Not to talk about what they did to their cars, but what/ how they are doing. This is how the Golden Gate chapter used to be. Which is why i am still a member after moving back east. I ENJOYED going to meets and drives with them. They were genuinely stoked to see one another.
SO much truth here. Exactly how I feel in the last few years. See sig.

I also agree with above quoted - janderson, delatlanta...

But how about when the opposite begins to happen... where anyone that criticizes someone else or gives a negative opinion gets crucified or worse - banned...
That's even more annoying. Just let people say whatever they want - good or bad.
If we can't shit on people's rides then member's rides basically becomes one big meaningless circlejerk.

You can't tell me that this isn't pathetic of the owner...pulley driven turbo? vtec civic type-r corolla head?

also someone in the thread did their own calculations on BHP of that 'M3' (post #170)
Ok so on the "M3" guy, you can tell he was just doing it to fit in or seem cool with the fellas. He's the type to befriend and help along the way in terms of car knowledge and just being a friend and good person. He seems cool but got nervous and scared and had to leave in such a hurry when questions were getting asked.

Now this other guy with the corolla. He's past help. His down pipe goes to the fender???Pulley turbo???drizzle???CAN'T EVEN SPELL VTEC??? Not that hard.
VTEC,vtec,v-tec,VtEc. Now he needs to just stop and rethink life.

Did anybody else get the ideal that this whole video was made just to get views?

I mean, he can't really be that delusional... Can he? :(

I also got the feeling that he thinks his Mt. Dew is a Olde English 40.
