I gots:
Cheap with renewed contract (unlimited texts tooooo!) Very slim and practical.
Only available in the US through Samsung direct (or Amazon...) but can't figure out how to have the battery last more than a few hours

Cary, what service do you have now? I would go with something unlocked off Amazon or ebay - like the LG Prada for a little more than iPhone, or definitely look at LG KU990 which has touch-screen and can use 3G which iPhone can't. (And is 5MP)
IMO, don't buy locked, and buy stuff that is overseas and not here yetComment

i have Verizon's lgvx8600. i have had great luck with it, and it is small, sleek, battery life is good. Overall i am pleased, and with my 4gb micro sd, it is better than an Ipod
mine is on the right, and that is my dad's Krazr

heeter, i have nextel now b/c of my job, which wont exist in a couple weeks, so i will be signing a new contract with new provider. i used to always get new shit from overseas, however, warranty is pretty much non-existent on those phones, and i dont feel like getting stuck with a new paperweight. my GF just got the new sony walkman phone from hong kong, and cant get the picture msgs to work. she paid like $500 for it too.
that LG touch screen phone is sexy though...i wonder if web surfing would be possible on the LG using AT&T network. does AT&T even support 3G network?IG: @Baye30
FRONT VALENCE IS ZENDER!!! STOP FILLING MY PM BOX PPL!!!Comment

It feels like a big plastic piece of shit brick. Plus of course it has VZW's aweful software/GUI. I really really really was disappointed in the Voyagers. The keys on the Qwerty felt like they were going to disintegrate. It is an extremely poor iPhone immitation.Comment

cool. you just eliminated one possibility for me.IG: @Baye30

I think CNET reviewed the iPhone before it was out and couldn't scratch it. I wouldn't even try the tests they did with the Voyager.
I've used both quite a bit and I truly love the iPhone. I have a hard time with the touch-Qwerty, but I could get used to it. The phone is so damn simply and responsive, you never have to struggle with it.Comment

yeah man, my new phone is 3G - although it only is available in big cities (aka not cornfields of Purdue)
I understand on the iffiness of ebay, but I've not yet been burnt with Amazon.Comment

Samsung Gleam Its been alright so far. Way better than my old a670, but the a670 was the best phone ever for the long haul. I had it for 3 years.
