I will say one thing. If you do join the miitary, think long and hard about what job/trade you want to do.

I wasted 8 years of my life being a tracked vehicle missle launcher crewmember........................... It did nothing for me later in life (I was 18 and thought blowing stuff up would be cool) My brother on the otherhand (due to talking to me) joined and went into the communication field, now gets paid very well working for motorola.
Yeah I've been thinking about law enforcement and security, it's like the military police I believe. But yeah I will definite keep thinking about what I want to do. And thanks for the advice.

Done that hundreds of times. I've applied anywhere I can think of. I'm on the UPS waiting list, but they haven't gave me a call yet.

In Bagram we paid the locals to haul away our sewage to the local sewage plant...

It got taken to the far side of the base where it was dumped in the creek.

i doubt it made much of a difference... the preferred method of waste management in the middle east is a burn pile. iraq has so much air pollution the sun "sets" 10 degrees above the horizon.

example (from transient housing in kuwait, but you get the idea):

                      past:
                      1989 325is (learner shitbox)
                      1986 325e (turbo dorito)
                      1991 318ic (5-lug ITB)
                      1985 323i baur
                      current:
                      1995 M3 (suspension, 17x9/255-40, borla)

If the wind blew the wrong way it made you sick. If that is the result of not having enviro wackos then I will gladly have them!

Ha thats funny...USAF Security Forces here and while i was there we would always get complaints from the locals right off base about having all the trash and sewage that was being dumped into there "gardens".

I just moved to SC to live with my uncle a few months ago. He's a retired Master Sergeant in the Marines and is helping me enlist with the Army. I wasn't going anywhere after highschool. I was sick of bullshit jobs and college wasn't plausible for me.

I used to have 1 & 1/2 inch plugs in my ears, I got them sewn up for free because my uncle new a Naval Surgeon really well. I'm trying to be an aircraft mechanic like my father was. I'm really looking forward to it & I scored pretty good on my ASVAB test. But I've also put months of thought into the lifestyle. Make sure you get a good recruiter and don't just take any job. Know what you want to do first. That's what this whole process has taught me haha.
