I used to have the 32MB RIO right when it came out! $300 I was the coolest kid on the block! I stopped using it after the SERIAL CABLE on the mp3 player end lost a pin or something.

Anyways, I've got me a Zen Micro 5GB now, and I wouldn't trade it in for anything except for maybe the 8GB Zen Micro Photo simply because I would enjoy having more space for different selections of music for different kinds of friends.

Shit son, I had the 128 MB Diamond Rio back in '98. I got it from a friend for $20 bucks.

I'll never understand the fascination with the ipod, either. My brother in law has a Creative Nomad Zen, and it's plenty badass. I think people are just hypnotized by the semi-translucent white plastic housing, because more and more electronics are starting to be made with that design. Kind of disturbing, actually.
