Also a fan of Manhattan's with a quality Rye. I think I also had a drink the other day called a New York Sour that was pretty tasty.

Also a big beer snob. Wheat beers are about the only style that I can't find anything I like.

After seeing them pop up around the net and my gf emailing me an article, decided to drop the money to buy gin, campari, and sweet vermouth for making negronis. I have to say, i HATED the first one. After a while they started to grow on my, but I may have just been drunk. The campari is super piney so the whole drink tastes really strong and weird, but it's sort of like a train wreck; It's horrific, but you can't stop looking.

Regularly it's PBR since I try to be cheap, or bourbon of varying quality depending on the week.

              That's the gin.

              Campari is a bitter-orange aperitif.

Singapore Sling or Dirty Mojito. From peeps that have tasted the ones I've made, they love them.
Everything that goes in to a Singapore Sling lol
According to the wikipedia, with the exception of not having benedictine. I substituted 8 parts Sloe Gin for the sweet taste.

If I don't have the ingredients to mix either of those two, I always make sure I have a good bottle of Port on hand. I fucking love Port. If you want more than two glasses, you can never go wrong with a bottle of Sandeman.
Costco usually has Sandeman stocked, and it's cheaper there.
Otherwise, I love Evenus Zinfandel Port. Again, only has about two glasses in it, and usually $20. To make it easier to find, the bottle is on the left, (ignore the right one, not that great):
Enjoying a new port while making spaghetti. The Evenus Zinfandel Port was bliss in a bottle.

And any time the opportunity presents itself, a straight shot of Middleton Rare. Best whisky I've ever had.

well maybe piney wasn't a good description, but it definitely wasn't the gin. Wiki said that campari is an infusion of herbs, so i guess a better description is that is was strangely herbal?

It's definitely a distinctive flavor, but Gin has a bunch of weird and "piney" herbs in it as well.

                    I hate gin.

The only one I can stand is Tanqueray, and I've been told there are smoother ones than Tanq. I've just never bothered to try them.

Really anything with more whiskey in it than mixers. Typical night out is well whiskey rocks (cheaper than dirt).

If I am feeling like treating myself then I will go for a nice single malt (Glenfiddich, Macallan, etc...) or a makers old fashioned. I also love white Russians.

About a week or so ago, the wife and I went out for dessert and drinks, and I had a couple of Prickly Pear Martinis, very tasty! The glass was rimmed with seasoned salt and chili powder, it was pretty damn good.
