    I've got a 700 Polaris also, a '98. I bought it in 2008. Haven't really had to do much to it other than rebuild the rear skid. It's lightly modded from the previous owner and has absolutely brutal midrange power. I didn't get a chance to ride it all last winter though.

    My previous sleds include an Indy 340 fan, and an Indy 650 triple.

      98 XC7 is a legendary sled. Love the wedgie chassis. Pick up a used Edge suspension and swap it in there with a 136" extension kit. You wont be sorry.

        If I lived somewhere with deeper snow like the U.P. of Michigan where I went to college, I'd definitely go 136. I'm happy with the stock 121 for now, with the small amount of riding I get to do now. When the stock studded track gets too ratty, I'm planning on throwing on a 1.325 Cobra track but staying 121.
