Well looks like i wont be posting for a while

at least new threads. Yesterday i got a ticket im my m3 for reckless driving. looks like i wont be driving a while even if its legal.

I merged onto the freeway, and there was a car in front of me and one behind. I changed to the left lane and gave it about half throttle in fifth till I got to about 105 then cruised there for a few seconds. next thing i know there is a tooper on my ass. after sitting in the back of the cop car cuffed for 45 minutes, and having the guy telling me i was going to get raped in jail and the guys were going to like a young guy like me, he released me to my mom. the worst part was he lied to my mom.

She said that the officer said that I was weaving in and out of traffic, that people were honking at me, and that I almost hit a semi, all of which is total BS. I passed like 2 cars both of which were in the right land

While he and I were in the car he said “do you have a CD player in that car?”. I thought why the hell he would be asking this and realized that I had the stereo receiver in my other car, so he probably saw the hole in the dash. So I said “I think its in my other car” and he said “how many cars do you have at 18” and I quietly said “2”

He also asked me what my dad did for a living, I told him that he works in an office a few hundred yards that way.

She said that he also said that I was a smart ass and said things like “you don’t know my parents????” and “I have 2 cars” (obnoxiously).

luckly my parents believe me and not him, but are still fucking pissed i was going 105. yesterday my dad said i had to sell both of my cars

do all cop cars have camera's?

    #2
yes cops do have camera's - and they should be able to show you the video if you were actually ticketed... your entire conversation with the cop should be taped too. you have a good case for a lawsuit, or at least make that guys life a bit difficult for a while. how fast was the posted limit where you were driving?

105+ right in front of a cop when you're under 18 and in a BMW.

Might as well have brought a can of vaseline with you.

not merging legally? i did everything right, execpt for the 105 part. I would have gladly accepted a ticket for 105. I did go 105. i did not weave in and out of traffic and shit.

limit was 65, perfectly flat straight freeway

The speed limit was 65 - you were doing 40 over. In most states anything 20-25 mph over is "reckless", which is usually an arrestable offense.

You got exactly what you should have expected.

Welcome to why I drive a 318. It would take about 2 1/2 days to get to 100.

The bad part is that I do look like a drug dealer while driving it.
The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.

oh yeah, he wrote the fine as $7,500. Should i get a lawyer? my parents think we should just go to court, look pretty, have me say im sorry, and have them say they took my license and car (they did). It seems like a lawyer might be able to get it reduced to just a regular speeding ticket though?

and ive been taking stattera for my ADD lately. For some reason it seems to give me the urge to drive fast, i dont think i should even bring the up to the judge though cause they'll think im making it up?

on the ticket, the 7500 was written in pen so i think he was just trying to scare me, but there was nothing underneath it written in the graphite stuff that goes through the top sheet. does that mean anything? if they dont fill out an amount on thier ticket then is it still good?

The cop does not chose the ammount of the fine. The $7,500 that the cop wrote on there is probably total bull. You will get the accual fine in the mail in a few weeks.

*The $7,500 might be right though. Sometimes the cops accually know how much each offense will cost, and they like to tell you in advance.
I accually had a cop give me a choice between two bullshit citations. He even told me how much each one was going to cost.

So what else did you do in addition to going 105? What car were you racing, how badly did you shoot your mouth off to the cops, etc.

Frankly, you wouldn't be looking at this sort of punishment if you were just merging up to 105 for a few seconds. You pulled something else and aren't telling us.

Young kid in an M3 with what appears to be the stereo ripped out doing 105.

I was also cited for not having the current tags on the car (in the glove box) and not having a current insurance card.

I swear on my life i didnt to anything else except cruise at 105 for like 20 seconds. no lane changes, no weaving, no passing on the shoulder, NOTHING. I was very polite to the cop, and didnt talk shit to him like he told my mom I did. I swear

So, young kid doing 40 mph over the limit, triple digits no less in front of a cop in a flashy car with expired tags and no insurance.

Seriously bro, you might as well go around wearing hotpants and carrying soap in San Francisco.
