You, my friend, are an idiot. If you want to go that speed, get a helmet and sign up for a DE.

Otherwise, unless you are on the Autobahn or in a remote part of Montana, forget it.

I dont think that several thousand in fines, jail time, and loosing my license for several months is right for what I did, guess I'm the only one

You live in Oregon, right? Anything over 30 mph is reckless - a class A traffic violation.

They've got you dead to rights.

Josh, you hit the nail on the head.

Nick, how the FUCK do you consider to be going FORTY MILES AN HOUR ABOVE THE SPEED LIMIT IN TRAFFIC TO NOT BE WRECKLESS? You are some punk fucking kid with rich parents and nice cars with no driving experience, of course that is fucking reckless driving. If you got put in jail over night and raped with a billy club I would have felt a little sorry for you but you would have learned your fucking lesson. Instead your parents are going to shell out thousands of dollars to get you off the hook, and I bet they don't make you sell either one of your cars.

this makes no sense to me either. don't be surprised if you get laughed at for trying to argue this one.

nick you are screwed either way, a lawyer has far more leverage with arguing cases than you'll ever have in a court of law, he could do a good job and oregon is still going to ream your ass. if you get lucky and have things reduced, you are still looking at a hefty punishment any way you cut it.

you accept your ticket, but still on the other hand still want to try to dumb it down? your reasoning is silly to say the least in my opinion. it's been said time and time again, you are in for some trouble. let it all sink in, get ready for your appearance and make the best of it, and i'd stop posting about this or you are just going to get flamed even more from the rest of everyone else.

Nick, the only reason any of us replied to this thread was either to make fun of you or because we truly hoping you wouldn't be posting here anymore. Just go away already.

So, what you're saying is that it's unfair that you got a reckless, and they only got speeding? News flash, the world isn't fair. Maybe when you grow up a little bit, you'll start to realize that.

thats interesting i never heard that... its gotta be something with what this kid did to the cop... when i was young and stupid (before i realized they had legal ways of "racing") i got nailed for doing over 90 in a 35... yeah i was 16 and stupid as hell but i still didn't have that huge of a ticket... but the cop was chill and i wasn't a bitch to him so that likely had something to do with it. surprised that he has this big of ticket - but i wasn't under the impression he was in OR

I hope it takes the money from selling both your cars to pay the fines, and that you stop posting here since the mods are never going to ban you (though I pray for it nightly).

while I think you should fight the ticket, trying to claim that you didn't do anything wrong or stupid won't help you at all. The only way you'll ever get your fines lowered is to realize you did something stupid, admit it to yourself and apologize for it.

and if you other guys don't think he should try and get his fines lowered, are you retarded? I'm sure almost everyone has been pulled over at least once and/or received a ticket for speeding. Are you really going to sit there like a dumbass and pay the $7500 fine when there's a chance you could pay half that (or whatever, depends on the judge) if you go to court? if you are, do you have any extra money to give to me?
